Workspaces

All 22 Workspace Sidebars and 14 legacy Workspaces, and the DocType/Report scope divergence between them.

The two navigation models don’t cover the same ground. Neither is a superset of the other, and each reaches DocTypes and Reports the other one doesn’t — see the divergence table below for the full list.

Workspace Sidebars

22 fixtures in erpnext/workspace_sidebar/*.json. “Body target” records which item types a sidebar’s own items include — a Workspace-type item, a Dashboard-type item, or neither (in which case the sidebar’s body is built directly from its DocType/Report items). This is a structural fact about the fixture, not a claim about what actually renders; see Navigation for why that distinction matters.

Legacy Workspaces

14 fixtures in **/workspace/<name>/<name>.json. All 14 remain public: 1, un-hidden, with non-empty content — none has been emptied or hidden ahead of a removal. “Referenced by” lists the sidebar(s) whose items link to this workspace via link_type: "Workspace"; two have none.

Scope divergence

As link rows (a target can be linked more than once from the same model, so these are not distinct-target counts): the legacy workspaces carry 229 DocType link rows and 115 Report link rows; the sidebars carry 285 DocType link rows and 126 Report link rows.

Collapsed to distinct targets, neither model is a superset of the other:

The 8 DocTypes reachable only from a legacy workspace, named in full: Bulk Update, Customs Tariff Number, Data Export, Data Import, Deleted Document, Import Supplier Invoice, Installation Note, Item Manufacturer. If the legacy workspaces were ever dropped, these — plus 4 legacy-only reports — would become unreachable through either navigation model documented here. The 43 sidebar-only DocTypes and 14 sidebar-only Reports are the mirror case, listed in full in the generated table below.
